Dr. Paul Hurrion
Dr Paul Hurrion is a biomechanist in different kind of sports specialising in golf and an expert in putting. For many years golfers have visited his Quintic Putting Laboratory in Birmingham, Rory Mcllroy, Oliver Wilson, Danny Willet, Paul McGinley, Padraig Harrington en Robert-Jan Derksen to name a few.
Paul did develop the Quintic software himself: with the help of unique video and analyzing equipment the stroke and body are analysed so the player himself understands better what is going on. The biomechanical approach of Paul with “the game within a game” is unique. If you are serious about putting you have to visit The Academy in Nunspeet or the Quitic Putting Laboratory in Birmingham.

Since November 2011 I am the Putting coach in the establishment at the golfcourse in Nunspeet. Over a period of time Paul has given me intensive training to become familiar with the knowledge required and the way to work that made Paul very succesful.
Robert-Jan and Paul both approached me and asked me if I was interested in being the main man in Nunspeet. An unique opportunity after being National Coach with the NGF. I have followed an intensive course at Paul’s place in Birmingham to learn all the inns and outs of the technique and software. Paul keeps accompanying me and makes sure I stay up to date all the time.
Robert-Jan Derksen
I decided to turn pro in 1996 after a long career as an amateur golfer. I have been a full time member of the European Tour since 2001 and my breakthrough came when I won the Dubai Desert Classic in 2003. I have always had an interest in helping juniors and other golfers throughout my career and therefore I did set up my own Golfjuniors team. I showed them what was needed to be succesful as a golfer. At the end of 2010 the Golffederation approached me (mainly due to my experience on the tour) to thing about a way to help the golfers with their putting.
After a few meetings together with Paul Hurrion, my putting coach and doing a bit of research, we started The Academy by Robert-Jan Derksen at the end of 2011.

It is a high-tech indoor putting facility in which we use high-speed cameras and software to analyse the roll of the ball as well as the movement of the body. I will constantly monitor and improve The Academy so we will stay the most innovative putting centre in the world.
